No accounts
ScoreMondo has no sign-up, log-in or user accounts. We never ask for your name, e-mail address or phone number.
Stored on your device
Settings such as your favourites, theme, time zone, notification and spoiler preferences are kept only in your browser’s local storage; some pages may also be stored in your browser for offline use. A single cookie (sb_lang) remembers your language choice. “Delete my data” in Settings removes all of it.
Notifications
If you turn notifications on, the anonymous subscription address your browser issues and the choices tied to it (followed matches, teams and competitions, alarms, quiet hours, spoiler protection) are stored on our server only to send you those notifications. Turning notifications off deletes that record. If you follow via Telegram, only your chat id and your follows are stored.
Ads and cookies
The site may show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads; where required (e.g. EEA, UK, Switzerland) your consent is asked through Google’s consent message, and you can change your choice at any time.
Server logs
To deliver pages and prevent abuse, your IP address and browser details are processed briefly by our servers and our content delivery network. We do not build visitor profiles.
Error reports and votes
With an error report, your note and the page it concerns reach our editors; your IP address and device id are stored only as one-way hashes, to prevent abuse. In the fans’ vote, your vote is counted with an anonymous id your browser generates at random.
Highlight videos
Some finished matches show the official highlights from the YouTube channel of the competition, the club or the official broadcaster. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play (the preview image comes from our server). When you play it, the video opens in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and Google’s privacy policy applies from then on.
Anonymous visit statistics
We count in aggregate which matches and competitions are popular and how many people are on the site right now. No cookie or advertising id is used for this: a one-way hash that changes every day is used, and your IP address is not stored. The site uses no third-party analytics tool (e.g. Google Analytics); for the apps, see the next section.
Mobile apps
ScoreMondo’s apps on the App Store, Google Play, Galaxy Store, Xiaomi GetApps, Amazon Appstore and Microsoft Store open this site; everything on this page applies to the apps too. The apps ask for no account and have no access to your contacts, location, camera or files. Instead of the site’s ads, the apps may show Google AdMob ads: AdMob may use the device’s advertising ID, approximate location (from the IP address) and ad interactions to serve and measure ads. Where required, your consent is first asked through Google’s consent message; on iPhone and iPad, personalised ads are shown only if you allow tracking, otherwise ads are not personalised. To understand how the apps are used, they also collect which screens are opened (e.g. a match, competition or team page) and crash reports with Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, without linking them to your identity; this data is not used for advertising and is not sold. If you allow notifications, the device’s notification token (from Apple’s or Google’s push service) is stored only to send you the notifications you chose, and it is deleted when you turn notifications off or uninstall the app. You can change your ad consent at any time under the privacy options in the app’s settings, and change or reset the advertising ID in your device settings.
Deleting your data
Because there are no accounts, most of your data is only on your device: the “Delete my data” button in Settings deletes your favourites, settings, saved pages and your notification subscription on our server at once; uninstalling the app or clearing the site’s data in your browser does the same. Subscriptions that no longer work are deleted automatically at the next delivery attempt, and server logs are deleted automatically after a short time. For any other request, such as deleting an error report you sent, write to us through the contact page; we reply within 30 days.
